THE SCIENCE

Photobiomodulation, Engineered

Backed by extensive research on red and near-infrared light for recovery, skin health, pain management and performance. Our multi-band systems deliver consistent irradiance for reliable dosing across full-body treatments, with optional chromotherapy to enhance the experience.

RED + NEAR-INFRARED · 630–940nm

Recovery & Regeneration

Deep-tissue activation of cytochrome c oxidase accelerates ATP production — clearing blood lactate, reducing DOMS, easing chronic joint pain and driving collagen and elastin synthesis.

BLUE · 415–470nm

Clarifying & Cleansing

Targets porphyrins within C. acnes at the epidermal surface — a selective photodynamic reaction that neutralises acne bacteria without disturbing healthy skin cells.

GREEN · 520–550nm

Tone & Calming

Regulates melanin production at the basal epidermis — visibly reducing hyperpigmentation and sunspots while soothing dilated capillaries and post-treatment redness.

HOW IT WORKS

Light as a Metabolic Trigger

Photobiomodulation delivers specific wavelengths of light to the cells’ mitochondria. There, red and near-infrared photons are absorbed by cytochrome c oxidase — a key enzyme in the respiratory chain — which increases the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the cell’s energy currency.

More available energy means cells repair and regenerate faster: lactate clears more quickly, inflammation subsides, and collagen and elastin synthesis is stimulated. Because the effect is dose-dependent, delivering the exact irradiance on the datasheet — batch after batch — is what separates a clinical device from a consumer panel.

That repeatability is precisely what ISO 13485 manufacturing guarantees, and why Renovio builds every bed on original Taiwan Epistar chip arrays with zero heat-induced spectral drift.
